We launched the LGBT+ Diamonds Awards in 2018 with a bold vision: to support LGBT+ employees in Poland by raising awareness among businesses about their crucial role in fostering inclusive environments. Our aim was to highlight the importance of supporting LGBT+ individuals, both inside and outside the workplace.

The LGBT+ Diamonds Awards is the first and only business-focused LGBT+ award in Poland, emphasizing how companies can promote awareness of LGBT+ issues within their organizations. The competition celebrates initiatives that support diverse and inclusive workplaces, showcase best practices, and recognize businesses, NGOs, and individuals that serve as role models in creating positive organizational cultures and welcoming environments for all.

Diverse perspectives have been shown to enhance creativity and entrepreneurship. By bringing together employees with different backgrounds, experiences, and viewpoints, businesses can generate more innovative ideas and better solutions for their clients. From the very beginning, NatWest Rainbow Network—one of the longest-serving employee-led networks at NatWest Poland—has been actively involved in this remarkable project.

Since its inception in 2018, the LGBT+ Diamonds Awards has grown significantly, becoming a landmark event for LGBT+ communities in Poland. The event has achieved impressive reach, with over 20 million social media impressions, an AVE of 250k, and nearly 200 media publications for the most recent edition. More importantly, it has earned the trust of the LGBT+ community and NGOs. Each edition has attracted increasing interest and participation. We are particularly proud of the engagement from Polish NGOs, embassies, the European Commission, and the Commissioner for Human Rights.
